Despite a hard pillow in our room and lights shining through the curtains, we slept quite well and woke up feeling fresh ready to explore Yazd.
Well, what a delight it is!
The Jame Mosque with its amazing minarets covered in beautiful coloured tiles and the Amir Chakhmag complex were both spectacular sights to see.
The town of Yazd itself is a maze of mud brick alley ways filled with shops selling amazing wares, all of which won't fit in my back pack sadly!!
We experienced a bit of rain here today, who would think in the desert it would rain! We were told by the money changer at the bank that this is a rare thing. We had a lovely chat with him, the people are incredibly friendly here and always interested to know where we are from.
We have arranged for a driver to take us on a trip to some small villages tomorrow and we are looking forward to that!

Looks like you have the place to your selves!
