And we are in Iran....

So after months of planning and lots of Organisation it was such a good feeling to finally arrive in Iran.

I had been in a bit of a panic over the visa process as I had tried to do an E-visa but for the life of me could not get it to work. Turns out all that worry was wasted energy as literally 30 minutes after landing we had a visa in our passport and were on our way! So simple and easy!

We changed some money as you can't use ATMs or credit cards in Iran and then we got a taxi to our hotel, cheap as, worked out to $7.

Our room was not ready so we went for a little walk checking out the fort. We bought some water and the lady even gave us some free cookies!

Once we got back to the hotel we were able to check in. Our room is nice, it is spacious and has a small lounge area.

At 3pm we had to meet up with our travel agent so we could pay for the hotels and buses they had booked for us, it was a nice feeling handing over the cash after all the planning that had gone into it!
