After a wander around town which included me getting a little bit testy about having to pay for toilets, we headed out to Tsinandali where there is an old homestead that used to be the home to the ambassador to Russia.
It was set in a lovely garden and was well laid out with old furniture etc representing the period of habitation.
A guided tour was included in the ticket price but we managed to convince the lady on the front desk that we did not want a guide, hence why my description is somewhat lackluster, but we were happy to see it and did not really need all the history to enjoy our visit! Note we were not allowed to take photos inside so I can not share pics of how cool it actually was!
