Old town and a giant carpet roll

The old town in Baku has certainly intrigued us. We spent a bit more time wandering about this morning before seeing some more architecture along the waterfront which included a giant carpet roll!!

It houses a carpet museum, our guesthouse concierge encouraged us to check it out, but we are not huge fans of museums unless it's something that we are interested in and I can't say carpet is high on my agenda!

However the outside of the building is really quite cool!

We also walked past little Venice where you can take a ride in a gondola just like in Venice! It was a little bit lame and probably aimed more at the Arab guests who visit the region.
