Day trip to Ushguli

We had not originally planned on going to Ushguli but we realised from Mestia it was only a 2 hour drive so we decided to take the trek! Now I should clarify, it was 2 hours but the distance was only 42km, so the state of the road was clearly questionable!!

And yes it was bumpy as all f**k!! We bounced along at such a slow pace but the end result was worth it as Ushguli is like another world! More of the Svaneti towers and old stone buildings dating back to the 11th and 12th century! It was really great!

And those mountains!! The snow was beautiful!

We only stayed for around 2.5 hours but we had such a great time walking around checking out the sights and seeing some cute animals!!
