It is a very interesting fortress which feels like a mix between English and Moorish architecture. We climbed to the top of the tower where we got some amazing views over the Mosque which is at the centre of the fortress but is no longer in use.
After visiting the fortress we headed back to Borjomi driving at break neck speed with our very fast taxi driver! Thankfully we loved to tell the tale!!
We had a great day and were glad we chose to take the taxi option as it was a far more relaxing journey!
