Borjomi to Kazbegi

Not a real lot to report today as we spent a large amount of the day traveling.

We woke up around 6:30 in preparation to head to the bus station at around 8.

We packed up and paid for the room and then headed off on the short walk to the station.

We found the mini bus easily and took off pretty much right on 9am, this was after yet another interesting toilet trip involving a squat toilet with no doors!!!

To get to Kazbegi we had to travel to Tbilisi and then change buses.

The trip to Tbilisi took just over 2 hours and we arrived in time to be able to find a mini bus heading to Kazbegi at 12:00pm, in fact it ended up leaving at 11:45 as it was full and they could for no more passengers!

The trip up to Kazbegi was a little slower as there were a lot of road works and also it was very hilly! Although it was a very beautiful drive as we could see snow capped mountains most of the way.

We arrived at 2:45pm, so right on 3 hours.

After checking into our guesthouse we had a shower, fresher up and headed out for a few drinks and dinner, just enjoying the amazing views around this beautiful town.

Our plan tomorrow is to hike up to the church which sits high on a hill looking over Kazbegi.

Should be a fun day and maybe some more pics tomorrow.

Ooh and we had some Kinkhalis for dinner as it's almost the end of our Georgia trip so we want to enjoy them whilst we can :-)
