Tonight we again visited Ivan Cafe, seriously, finding good food in Tehran is tricky, so we thought we'd head back here where we had a cup of tea last night.
We had planned on having a couple of drinks and then maybe some pasta but we got chatting to the owner, Nick, who insisted we try the Local dish Tabrizi as his guest.
Who were we to say no to a free feed! And boy was it yummy!!! We decided after that we could not possibly still eat pasta but that we did have enough room for some cake, so we both had a slice of carrot & walnut cake, yummy!!!
The theme of the day was definitely kindness, the man in the bazaar that gave us cookies, the lady at the palace that gave us the rose & dove, and then the owner of a cafe insisting we have a meal on the house.
These sorts of things don't happen often but here in Iran we have witnessed acts of kindness on a regular basis. It has been eye opening and probably a lesson that is very good for me to learn.

What is Tabrizi Megsy? I'm trying to figure it out by the photos Dani
